A primary hybrid between Epidendrum ciliare and Brassavola (Rhyncholaelia) digbyana, two species from the Cattleya alliance. The flowers combine the pale green sepals and petals of both parents with a large white lip, deeply fringed along the edges, which is the signature of digbyana.
Both parent species release their scent after dusk, so the fragrance is strongest in the evening and at night. It is a rare, collector's hybrid and an unusual choice for those who already grow Cattleya.
Care: give it bright, filtered light, without strong midday sun, and warm days with slightly cooler nights. In sphagnum moss, water only when the moss has dried out almost completely, and reduce watering during the resting period in winter.
